We are seeking a highly analytical Senior QA Engineer to join our fast-paced product team in the heart of San Francisco. In this role, you will lead the charge in defining our automated testing strategy, ensuring that our flagship platform remains robust, scalable, and delightful for millions of users worldwide.
You will work cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers to drive a culture of 'Quality First' from the initial design phase through deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers to identify root causes of defects and advocate for optimal architectural solutions.
- Execute complex test scenarios including integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Lead the transition from manual-heavy processes to a fully CI/CD integrated automated pipeline.
- Mentor junior QA staff and promote best practices in software quality across the engineering department.
- Monitor production environments to ensure uptime and performance benchmarks are strictly met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance or SDET roles.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation.
- Deep understanding of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven track record of success in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for edge-case identification.
