Responsibilities
- Automation Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain a robust automated testing framework using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure high code coverage.
- CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) to facilitate continuous validation and faster deployment cycles.
- API Testing: Perform comprehensive API and microservices testing using Postman and RestAssured to validate backend logic and data integrity.
- Performance Engineering: Conduct load and stress testing using JMeter or Gatling to ensure system stability under peak traffic conditions.
- Exploratory Testing: Lead manual exploratory testing sessions to uncover edge cases and usability issues that automated scripts might miss.
- Bug Lifecycle Management: Triage, document, and track defects in JIRA, collaborating closely with developers to ensure rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a proven track record in automation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript. Experience with testing frameworks is required.
- Methodology: Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Tools: Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and bug tracking systems (JIRA, Trello).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
