Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to identify issues early, define test strategies, and implement scalable testing frameworks. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira and ensure timely resolution by the development team.
- Perform performance, load, and security testing to ensure system stability under high traffic.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
- Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and translate them into actionable test scenarios.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights for product improvements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Expert knowledge of automated testing tools: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with SQL and database querying.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
