Responsibilities
- Design & Develop: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright to cover both UI and API endpoints.
- Framework Architecture: Architect and maintain scalable test automation frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Performance Testing: Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) into the release cycle.
- CI/CD Integration: Script and automate build verification steps to ensure code quality gates are met before merging to production.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate complex bugs, analyze codebase, and provide actionable insights to developers to prevent regression.
- Leadership: Mentor junior QA engineers and SDETs, conducting code reviews and best practice workshops.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and documentation to ensure transparency and traceability.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years specifically in Automation QA (SDET).
- Programming: Strong proficiency in Python or Java, with experience in scripting languages (JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Tools: Deep knowledge of automation frameworks, API testing (Postman, RestAssured), and database testing (SQL).
- CI/CD: Experience integrating test frameworks with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Agile: Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
