Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our elite engineering team in San Francisco. Apex Innovations is transforming the FinTech landscape, and we need a quality guardian who can design robust test strategies to ensure our platform's reliability and scalability. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, driving automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery cycles.
Responsibilities
- Test Automation Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright to ensure high code coverage.
- CI/CD Integration: Seamlessly integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to enforce quality gates before production deployment.
- API & Performance Testing: Conduct comprehensive API testing using Postman and performance testing with JMeter to ensure system stability under load.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate complex bugs, document detailed bug reports, and collaborate with developers to implement effective fixes.
- Process Optimization: Continuously refine QA processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation engineering.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python or JavaScript, including familiarity with frameworks like Pytest or Jest.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured) and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
- Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases for data verification during testing.
- Agile: Demonstrated ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum environments and work closely with cross-functional teams.
