Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end procurement process for raw materials and equipment, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting performance reviews and negotiating contracts to secure the best terms.
- Inventory Control: Analyze inventory data and demand forecasts to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring optimal inventory turnover.
- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost-benefit analyses and market research to support strategic purchasing decisions and budget adherence.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with operations, engineering, and finance departments to align purchasing strategies with business goals.
- Procurement Systems: Manage and optimize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to streamline purchase orders and reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Negotiation: Demonstrated track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Analysis: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and supply chain data.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO standards and supply chain compliance regulations.
