Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet business needs while optimizing quality, cost, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements that align with company financial goals.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory holding costs.
- Process Improvement: Analyze purchasing workflows and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Logistics, Finance) to develop long-term sourcing strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel is a plus).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
