Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new suppliers to ensure a robust and diverse supply chain network.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate strong relationships with existing vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Order Management: Create, review, and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct market research and cost-benefit analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels and forecast future purchasing needs.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to internal controls and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and contract management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
