Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and negotiating favorable contracts.
- Supply Chain Analysis: Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and demand forecasts to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of buyers and planners.
- Process Optimization: Streamline procurement workflows, implement best practices, and leverage technology (ERP systems) for better inventory control.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and logistics teams to align purchasing with business goals.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or procurement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certification: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply) qualification is highly desirable.
- Negotiation: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with a proven ability to close deals.
- Analytical: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
