Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Design and implement sourcing strategies that align with organizational objectives, focusing on cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Vendor Negotiation: Lead high-level contract negotiations with global suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage the full lifecycle of supplier relationships, from onboarding to performance evaluation, ensuring mutual growth and compliance.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory turnover and stock levels to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, alternative suppliers, and new technologies.
- Process Improvement: Streamline purchasing workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel modeling skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
