Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery times.
- Vendor Management: Identify, qualify, and negotiate contracts with new suppliers while managing existing relationships to ensure performance and continuity.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and lead times to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and price analysis to recommend purchasing decisions that maximize value.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the procurement process and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Certifications: CPIM or CPM certification is highly preferred.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a focus on mutual benefit.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership.
