Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to reduce costs and improve material quality.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Lead a team of buyers and planners to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Analyze market trends to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and manage key vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and operations to align procurement goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings targets.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate reports.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
