Apex Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a high-impact Senior Purchasing Manager to oversee our end-to-end procurement lifecycle. In this role, you will define category strategies, optimize vendor performance, and drive significant bottom-line value for our organization.
You will work with a cross-functional team to streamline supply chain processes, mitigate risk, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive global sourcing strategies to achieve cost-reduction targets.
- Manage end-to-end procurement cycles, from RFx creation to contract negotiation and final fulfillment.
- Cultivate and maintain high-value relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain data to forecast demand and optimize inventory replenishment levels.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in order management and procure-to-pay workflows.
- Lead cross-departmental teams in resolving complex supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
- Ensure full adherence to corporate procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or procurement roles.
- Proven track record of managing complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CSCP is highly preferred.
