Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans across 15+ commodity categories to optimize total cost of ownership
- Lead complex negotiations with Tier 1 suppliers securing multi-year contracts with 15-20% cost savings targets
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify risk mitigation opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement value engineering initiatives
- Oversee ERP system (SAP Ariba) implementation and process automation for procurement workflows
- Manage cross-functional projects aligning purchasing objectives with corporate sustainability goals
- Mentor junior buyers while establishing KPIs for team performance and supplier scorecards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years progressive purchasing experience with 3+ years in management roles
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or CIPS designation required
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, TCO analysis, and contract lifecycle management
- Advanced proficiency in SAP Ariba and e-procurement platforms
- Proven success in international supplier negotiations and compliance management
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analytics and market intelligence
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
