Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with company goals to drive cost efficiency and supply chain resilience.
- Vendor Management: Lead the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, including onboarding, performance evaluation, and contract negotiations to ensure quality and reliability.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, price fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with operations teams to forecast demand accurately and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current purchasing workflows and implement automation or process enhancements to boost productivity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts that result in significant cost savings and favorable terms.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
