Role Overview
As the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the company's purchasing activities. You will drive cost-reduction initiatives, manage key vendor relationships, and ensure the highest standards of quality and timeliness in our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies that align with business goals while maximizing cost-efficiency and supplier value.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with global suppliers to ensure the best quality and price points.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of junior buyers and procurement analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and supply chain disruptions to mitigate risks and adapt strategies proactively.
- Process Optimization: Streamline procurement workflows and implement ERP systems to enhance reporting accuracy and operational speed.
- Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Negotiation: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is highly desirable.
