- Lead strategic technology adoption for citizen-facing services (e.g., healthcare, tax, immigration)
- Advise ministers on emerging tech trends (AI, blockchain, cloud) and policy implications
- Oversee implementation of secure digital infrastructure across federal departments
- Coordinate with private sector partners for innovation procurement and co-creation
- Ensure all initiatives comply with federal accessibility and security standards
- Represent Canada in international public sector technology forums
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in public sector technology or related government consulting
- Proven experience leading complex digital transformation projects ($5M+ budgets)
- Deep understanding of Canadian public sector governance frameworks
- Expertise in agile methodologies and enterprise architecture
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Computer Science, or related field
- Security clearance eligibility (Reliability Status)
- Strong stakeholder management skills across government/private sectors
