Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design for large-scale federal IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and security protocols.
- Oversee the migration of legacy systems to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring data sovereignty and compliance.
- Enforce strict adherence to FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST security standards across all projects.
- Mentor junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including policy makers, security analysts, and program managers, to translate requirements into technical blueprints.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for critical infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years specifically in the Government/Public Sector or Defense industry.
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Proven experience obtaining and maintaining FedRAMP Authorization or similar high-level security clearances.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
