Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions for federal systems
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches or cyber attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST, FISMA, and DHS frameworks
- Mentor junior security analysts and train staff on security best practices
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on cyber threat intelligence sharing
- Prepare comprehensive security reports for congressional oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in government IT security or regulated industries
- CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in risk assessment frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal acquisition processes (FAR, DFARS)
