Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise IT architecture aligned with Government of Canada digital transformation goals
- Lead technical assessments of legacy systems and develop modernization roadmaps
- Ensure compliance with federal security protocols (e.g., ITSG-33, TBS Security Policy)
- Collaborate with policy teams to translate legislation into technical requirements
- Oversee integration of cloud solutions with existing government infrastructure
- Mentor junior architects and conduct peer reviews of architectural designs
- Present technical strategies to executive stakeholders and parliamentary committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Architecture, or related field
- 10+ years experience in enterprise IT architecture, 5+ in public sector
- Certified Enterprise Architect (TOGAF) or equivalent certification
- Expert knowledge of government security frameworks and compliance requirements
- Proven experience leading digital transformation projects in regulated environments
- Strong understanding of public policy development and implementation processes
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with ability to navigate complex government hierarchies
