Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks addressing housing affordability, infrastructure modernization, and environmental sustainability
- Analyze legislative proposals and conduct impact assessments for federal urban development programs
- Prepare detailed briefing documents and testimony for congressional hearings and stakeholder briefings
- Lead interagency task forces to coordinate implementation of metropolitan development initiatives
- Monitor emerging urban challenges and recommend innovative policy solutions
- Manage grant programs supporting local government capacity building
- Present findings to executive leadership and external partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of federal government policy analysis experience
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory impact statements
- Knowledge of federal grant administration and procurement processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with complex audiences
