Responsibilities
- Lead policy research initiatives on digital transformation in public services
- Analyze legislative frameworks and regulatory impacts using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop strategic policy briefs for Cabinet-level decision-makers
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with federal departments, NGOs, and industry partners
- Design and implement policy evaluation frameworks measuring citizen outcomes
- Represent the department in intergovernmental working groups
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge management systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in public sector
- Expertise in regulatory impact assessment methodologies
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience with public consultation frameworks
- Knowledge of Canadian parliamentary processes and legislation
- Valid Government of Canada security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Professional designation (e.g., CIPPP) preferred
