Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex economic policies using quantitative modeling and qualitative research
- Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations
- Prepare high-impact briefing materials and policy recommendations for cabinet-level review
- Manage cross-departmental policy implementation projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Conduct rigorous impact assessments on proposed legislation and regulatory changes
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research workflows
- Represent the ministry at national and international policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government/public sector
- Expertise in economic impact analysis and quantitative research methodologies
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification desirable
- Knowledge of Canadian federal/provincial policy frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility required
