Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for economic diversification and sustainable development
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to forecast policy impacts on vulnerable populations
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on regulatory modernization initiatives
- Prepare cabinet submissions and parliamentary briefings with actionable insights
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with industry leaders and community organizations
- Monitor international policy trends to align Canada's competitive positioning
- Maintain compliance with Treasury Board directives and public service standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative analysis using SPSS/R and qualitative research methodologies
- Demonstrated success in drafting high-impact legislative frameworks
- Security clearance at the Reliability level (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in both official languages (written and verbal)
- Experience managing multi-million dollar public sector projects
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Policy Analysis (PPA) preferred
