Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks addressing municipal challenges including housing affordability and climate resilience
- Conduct advanced quantitative/qualitative research using data analytics and stakeholder consultations
- Lead cross-departmental projects with federal/provincial government partners
- Prepare Cabinet-ready reports and legislative recommendations
- Manage public engagement processes for major policy initiatives
- Monitor emerging policy trends and best practices in public administration
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal or provincial government policy development
- Expertise in policy impact assessment and regulatory analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS/R) and GIS mapping
- Proven track record of stakeholder management across diverse communities
- Valid Government of Canada security clearance (or ability to obtain)
