Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging policy trends and data to recommend evidence-based solutions for federal initiatives
- Lead stakeholder consultations with government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for Cabinet consideration
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and impact assessments for proposed legislative changes
- Coordinate interdepartmental working groups to align policy objectives and execution
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend adjustments through quarterly reviews
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining rigorous quality control deliverables
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years progressive policy analysis experience in federal/provincial government
- Proven expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and policy modeling
- Deep knowledge of Canadian governance structures and legislative processes
- Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated briefing note authorship
- Valid security clearance (Reliability Status) or ability to obtain one
- Proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., R, Stata, or NVivo)
