Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive policy research frameworks addressing urban housing, transportation, and economic development challenges
- Analyze complex datasets to identify policy gaps and recommend data-driven solutions
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for stakeholder review
- Lead interagency task forces to coordinate cross-sector policy implementation
- Present findings to congressional committees and senior government officials
- Mentor junior analysts through structured training programs
- Monitor policy outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical software
- Proven track record of developing successful legislative or regulatory proposals
- Deep understanding of federal grant processes and compliance requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
