Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy challenges using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Develop data-driven recommendations for housing, transportation, and environmental sustainability initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-agency task forces to draft legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks
- Present findings to congressional committees and senior government officials
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and industry partners
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, Stata) and GIS mapping
- Demonstrated success in developing policy recommendations adopted at federal level
- Clearance eligibility for sensitive government information
- Strong written and oral communication skills with presentation experience
- Knowledge of federal grant management and procurement processes
