Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban challenges using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and senior leadership
- Lead stakeholder engagement with community groups, NGOs, and industry partners
- Prepare high-impact reports, briefings, and presentations for decision-makers
- Monitor policy implementation and evaluate outcomes using KPIs
- Collaborate with finance, planning, and sustainability departments
- Advise on emerging policy trends and best practices in municipal governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Expertise in policy development frameworks and impact assessment
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Proven track record of stakeholder collaboration and consensus-building
- Knowledge of Canadian municipal governance and Vancouver's strategic priorities
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
