Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations aligned with federal economic priorities
- Analyze socioeconomic data and regulatory impacts to inform strategic decisions
- Lead stakeholder engagement with industry partners, community groups, and intergovernmental bodies
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for Cabinet ministers and senior officials
- Oversee policy implementation and evaluate program effectiveness through KPI monitoring
- Represent the ministry in interdepartmental committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 7 years progressive experience in government policy development
- Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative policy analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of Canadian federal/provincial governance structures
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy briefs and reports
- Valid Secret Level security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Experience managing high-impact policy initiatives with measurable outcomes
