Responsibilities
- Lead development of digital policy frameworks aligned with Government of Canada priorities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT) for public sector applicability
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with industry partners and civil society groups
- Prepare cabinet-ready briefings and policy recommendations
- Oversee implementation of digital service standards across departments
- Monitor international best practices in digital governance
- Manage policy compliance with Canada's Digital Charter and Privacy Act
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in federal/provincial government policy development
- Expertise in digital transformation and e-government strategies
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Security clearance eligibility (Reliability status)
- Experience with public consultation frameworks and stakeholder engagement
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making background
- Knowledge of Canada's Digital Government Strategy and WCAG 2.1 standards
