Responsibilities
- Lead cross-departmental policy development for economic growth initiatives
- Conduct comprehensive stakeholder analysis with industry leaders and community groups
- Design and evaluate policy frameworks using quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Present policy recommendations to Cabinet committees and parliamentary committees
- Manage complex intergovernmental relations with provincial and municipal partners
- Oversee implementation of flagship programs with multi-million dollar budgets
- Mentor junior policy analysts and develop departmental training materials
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive policy experience in government/public sector
- Expertise in economic development, regulatory frameworks, or social policy
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder engagement processes with diverse groups
- Advanced proficiency in policy analysis software and data visualization tools
- Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated policy writing samples
- Valid Government of Canada security clearance (or ability to obtain)
