Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks addressing urban sustainability challenges
- Lead stakeholder consultations with government agencies, community groups, and private sector partners
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Oversee implementation of federal grant programs for community revitalization projects
- Prepare high-impact policy briefs and legislative proposals for senior leadership review
- Monitor policy outcomes through quantitative/qualitative assessment methodologies
- Represent the department in intergovernmental forums and public hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in government/public sector policy development
- Expertise in federal grant administration and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Deep knowledge of HUD, DOT, or EPA regulations and programs
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
