Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate national health security policies addressing pandemics, bioterrorism, and natural disasters
- Analyze healthcare system vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with federal agencies (CDC, FEMA, HHS) to align policy objectives
- Lead interagency working groups on public health emergency preparedness
- Develop policy briefs and implementation roadmaps for congressional stakeholders
- Oversee compliance with HIPAA, Public Health Service Act, and other regulations
- Mentor junior policy analysts and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in government/public health policy
- Expertise in health emergency management and crisis response frameworks
- Proven track record of developing actionable federal health policies
- Strong analytical skills with policy impact modeling capabilities
- Experience interfacing with congressional committees and regulatory bodies
- Knowledge of U.S. healthcare payment systems (Medicare/Medicaid) and delivery models
- Security clearance eligibility required
