Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to final handover, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and regulatory bodies, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
- Financial Control: Develop detailed project budgets and monitor expenditure, implementing cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse project team, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Scheduling: Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring critical milestones are met.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or safety incidents.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven track record of managing projects worth over £5M.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM (Revit/AutoCAD) and MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK Building Regulations (Building Control) and Health & Safety legislation (CSCS Card required).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
