Vanguard Architectural Collective is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Architect to join our award-winning studio in downtown Manhattan. We specialize in high-end mixed-use and commercial projects that redefine city skylines.
You will play a pivotal role in leading design teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring technical excellence from schematic design through construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of design concepts and technical documentation for large-scale urban projects.
- Coordinate with engineering consultants and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and compliance with local zoning and building codes.
- Conduct site visits and manage construction administration to ensure design integrity.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of innovative design and professional growth.
- Prepare high-quality presentations for client meetings and municipal approval hearings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Licensed Architect (RA) in the United States, preferably NY State.
- 8+ years of professional experience in commercial or high-end residential architecture.
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of NYC Building Codes and ADA requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated design sensitivity and technical proficiency.
