Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural design development, documentation, and construction administration for major urban projects.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with MEP, structural engineers, and specialty consultants to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and permit sets using BIM and Revit workflows.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate architectural staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and design excellence.
  • Present design proposals, feasibility studies, and project milestones directly to clients, municipal boards, and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain project schedules, deliverables, budgets, and high-quality design standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited NAAB program.
  • Licensed Architect (RA) in Illinois or active NCARB certificate eligible for immediate reciprocal licensure.
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with a proven portfolio of leading large-scale commercial, institutional, or multi-family projects.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and established BIM coordination practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, life-safety requirements, and zoning regulations.
  • LEED AP, WELL AP, or similar sustainable design certification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, client management, and visual/verbal communication skills.
