Vanguard Design Studio is seeking a visionary Senior Project Architect to join our award-winning team in Seattle. As a key member of our leadership team, you will bridge the gap between creative conceptualization and rigorous technical delivery, managing complex projects from schematic design through construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead project design teams through all phases of development including SD, DD, and CD.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil engineering consultants to ensure design integrity.
- Manage client expectations and project communications, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed construction document sets and specifications.
- Conduct on-site construction administration visits to verify compliance with architectural intent.
- Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of technical excellence and design innovation.
- Ensure project adherence to building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Licensed Architect (AIA/NCARB) with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven track record of managing complex commercial projects exceeding $20M in value.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client-facing engagements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven studio environment.
