Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct daily production schedules and workflows to maximize output while maintaining high quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a zero-incident workplace environment.
- Team Management: Mentor, train, and evaluate production staff to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule routine equipment checks and troubleshoot machinery issues promptly.
- Inventory Control: Monitor raw material usage and finished goods inventory to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze production reports to provide management with accurate performance metrics and forecasting data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing conflict effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
