Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze current production workflows and implement lean manufacturing methodologies to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Lead the troubleshooting and maintenance of complex manufacturing machinery, including PLCs, CNC machines, and hydraulic systems.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control protocols to ensure all output meets ISO 9001 standards and client specifications.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and production staff, conducting regular training sessions to upskill the workforce.
- Cost Reduction: Identify areas for cost savings in raw materials and energy consumption without compromising product integrity.
- Compliance: Enforce strict safety regulations and environmental compliance standards across all production lines.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production engineering role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with SCADA systems or PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Methodologies: Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen principles.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
