Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying market trends to negotiating contracts with top-tier suppliers.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate strong relationships with existing vendors and identify new partners to enhance our supply chain resilience.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to mitigate risk and secure favorable pricing.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with the logistics team to forecast demand and ensure inventory levels align with procurement plans.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and systems to increase efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced data analysis tools.
- Negotiation: Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of UK procurement laws and international trade regulations.
