Apex Global Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a visionary Senior Procurement Manager to lead our direct materials category. You will be responsible for defining sourcing strategies, managing complex vendor relationships, and driving cost-efficiencies across our domestic and international supply chains.
In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership to transform our procurement operations into a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category sourcing strategies to meet organizational cost and quality targets.
- Lead contract negotiations with Tier 1 suppliers to ensure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to optimize supply chain resilience and global footprint.
- Analyze spend data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement cycles, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior buyers and procurement analysts to foster a culture of excellence and high performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering, and Logistics, to support product development cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or CPSM certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar annual spend portfolios.
- Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced data analytics tools.
- Superior negotiation skills with a deep understanding of contract law and risk mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing remote or cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
