Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for key commodities while reducing total cost of ownership by 15% annually
- Lead vendor negotiations and contract management, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize material specifications and procurement processes
- Manage procurement budgets exceeding $50M and implement KPI tracking systems for continuous improvement
- Mentor junior procurement staff and conduct training programs on negotiation techniques and supplier relationship management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive procurement experience with at least 3 years in leadership roles
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent certification required
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement) and e-sourcing platforms
- Proven track record of achieving cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and financial metrics
- Exceptional negotiation skills with experience in international supplier relationships
