Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate municipal policies through rigorous data analysis and stakeholder consultations
- Lead research initiatives on emerging urban challenges and prepare actionable policy recommendations
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments to implement integrated policy frameworks
- Present complex policy options to senior leadership and elected officials through compelling reports and presentations
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Manage intergovernmental relations with provincial/federal partners on shared priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in municipal or provincial government
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written communication skills demonstrated through policy briefs and reports
- Experience with public consultation processes and community engagement frameworks
- Knowledge of Ontario's Municipal Act and provincial-municipal relations
