Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate comprehensive policy frameworks for municipal governance and public service delivery
- Conduct rigorous quantitative/qualitative research and data analysis to inform policy recommendations
- Collaborate with stakeholders across government departments, community groups, and external partners
- Prepare high-impact briefing notes, reports, and policy proposals for senior leadership
- Monitor emerging policy trends and legislative changes affecting municipal operations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions and public consultation processes
- Ensure policy alignment with provincial/federal legislation and strategic priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in public sector or regulated environment
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Proven expertise in policy development, evaluation, and implementation frameworks
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of Ontario municipal governance structures and legislation
- Valid Ontario driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
