Responsibilities
- Research and draft comprehensive policy briefs for congressional stakeholders and federal agencies
- Analyze urban development data trends to identify emerging challenges and opportunities
- Lead interdepartmental task forces on housing affordability and infrastructure modernization
- Develop quantitative models to evaluate policy implementation outcomes
- Represent the department at national urban planning conferences and public hearings
- Mentor junior analysts on regulatory compliance and ethical governance practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of federal government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, Python, Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative proposals and impact assessments
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Expertise in HUD, DOT, or EPA regulatory frameworks
- Superior written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
