Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze evidence-based policy frameworks for high-impact government programs
- Liaise with ministers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align policy objectives
- Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to inform strategic recommendations
- Oversee policy implementation and evaluate outcomes using KPIs and public feedback mechanisms
- Prepare high-impact briefing materials for executive leadership and parliamentary committees
- Lead interdepartmental task forces addressing complex public sector challenges
- Monitor emerging trends and best practices in public administration and governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and data analysis
- Proven ability to navigate complex bureaucratic structures and political landscapes
- Exceptional written communication skills with policy brief/portfolio samples
- Deep understanding of Canadian federal/provincial governance frameworks
- Professional designation (e.g., CPM, PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
