Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing and executing complex pharmaceutical research protocols
- Oversee preclinical development of novel therapeutic candidates from concept to IND submission
- Drive innovation in formulation development and analytical methodologies
- Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines throughout drug development lifecycle
- Present research findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to departmental scientific strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in drug discovery and development from lead optimization to clinical candidate
- Expertise in GLP/GMP environments and regulatory documentation
- Strong publication record and conference presentations
- Proficiency with analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR)
- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary project teams
