Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end drug discovery programs including target identification, hit validation, and lead optimization
- Design and execute preclinical studies to assess pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and safety profiles
- Develop and optimize novel drug formulations using advanced delivery technologies (nanoparticles, liposomes, etc.)
- Collaborate with CMC teams to ensure scalable manufacturing processes align with regulatory standards
- Generate comprehensive study reports and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior scientists and implement best practices in lab safety and documentation
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends through continuous learning initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in preclinical drug development and formulation technologies
- Strong technical skills in HPLC, LC-MS, and analytical characterization methods
- Demonstrated experience with GLP/GMP compliance and regulatory documentation (IND/CTA preparation)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with track record of troubleshooting complex experimental challenges
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex data to diverse audiences
- Experience mentoring cross-functional teams and driving project timelines
- Preferred: Background in biologics or immunotherapy development
