Responsibilities
- Design and execute preclinical drug discovery experiments including in vitro assays and in vivo models
- Lead cross-functional teams to advance novel therapeutic candidates through IND-enabling studies
- Optimize compound pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics profiles using LC-MS/MS and other analytical platforms
- Develop and validate biomarkers for clinical trial monitoring and patient stratification
- Prepare regulatory documentation (CTD modules) and support FDA/EMA interactions
- Mentor junior scientists and present research findings at scientific symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in high-throughput screening and lead optimization methodologies
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Nature, Science, J Med Chem)
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP compliance and regulatory submission processes
- Advanced proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, NMR, SPR) and computational chemistry tools
- Demonstrated experience managing complex project timelines and budgets
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with ability to translate science for diverse audiences
